OUR VISION

Bringing the horse world
together.

The horse world has an enormous amount of information, but very little of it is truly connected. HorseBidder is being built to change that.

Everything exists.
Just not in one place.

Today, finding and understanding a horse often means moving between many different places. Horses are advertised on classified websites and social media. Auctions each have their own websites and calendars. Pedigrees and sport results live in separate databases. Breeders, riders, stables, transporters and other professionals use different platforms again.

Even when the information is available, it is often difficult to connect it. A buyer may see a horse for sale, then search somewhere else for its pedigree, somewhere else for sport results, and somewhere else again to learn about its relatives.

We believe that should be much easier.

A horse should be more
than an advertisement.

Our long-term goal is for every horse to have a useful profile that can bring together the information that matters: identity, pedigree, sport results, media, auction history, relatives and, when relevant, a current sales listing.

That means information does not have to disappear when an advertisement ends. Over time, the profile of a horse can become richer as new information becomes available.

For buyers, that creates context. For sellers, it creates a better way to present a horse. And for breeders, riders and owners, it creates a clearer picture of the horses behind the sport.

Making horses easier
to compare.

Comparing horses should go further than opening ten browser tabs and trying to remember what you saw. HorseBidder wants to make it possible to compare horses in a structured way.

At first, that means clear information such as age, sex, height, price, location and level. As the platform and its data grow, comparisons can become much more useful: pedigree, sport performance, relatives, auction history and other relevant information can sit next to each other.

We want buyers to spend less time searching for information and more time understanding the horses they are considering.

Connecting the wider
equestrian industry.

Horses are only one part of the picture. Auctions should be easy to discover and follow in one calendar. Equestrian businesses should be searchable in one place. Real estate, transport, jobs and professional services should be easier to find without knowing which individual website to visit first.

The goal is not to turn all of these things into the same product. The goal is to connect them, so that moving through the horse world becomes simpler.

We are not trying to replace
the horse world. We want to connect it.

HorseBidder is being built step by step. The marketplace is one part. Horse profiles and data are another. Auctions, businesses, real estate, transport and jobs add more connections around them.

Over time, someone should be able to start with a horse and discover the information, people and opportunities around it — or start with a question and find the horse, auction, business or service they need.

One platform for the horse world.
HORSEBIDDER

The horse world,
connected.

That is what we are building.
